Punjabi Paneer Pasanda Recipe

Serves: 4 People

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

200 Grams Paneer

½ Cup Corn Flour

½ Cup Water  

Cooking Oil for Frying

For the Filling

100 Grams Grated Paneer

Salt to Taste

2 Teaspoon Green Chilli, Finely Chopped

10-12 Raisins, Chopped

2 Tablespoon Coriander Leaves, Finely Chopped

8-10 Cashew Nuts, Chopped

1 Teaspoon Ginger, Grated

 

For The Gravy

4 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil

1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds

2 Bay Leaves

2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste

¼ Cup Tomato Puree

¼ Cup Cashew Nut Paste

1 Cup Brown Onion Paste

2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder

1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

2 Teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder

½ Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder

Salt to Taste

1 Tablespoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Kasuri Methi), Crushed

¼ Cup Fresh Cream

1 Teaspoon Honey

2 Teaspoon Lemon Juice

Coriander Leaves for Garnishing

 

Direction:

First Make Paneer Sandwich:

Mix grated paneer, green chili, chopped coriander leaves, ginger, raisins, cashew nuts and salt well in a mixing bowl.

Step1 of Paneer Pasanda

Cut equal triangles shape of paneer pieces. And put small amount of fillings on one piece and cover with another piece.

Step2 of Paneer Pasanda

Mix corn flour with water to make a batter.

Step3 of Paneer Pasanda

Dip paneer sandwich in a batter and shallow fry it in a hot pan till turns golden brown from all sides.

Step4 of Paneer Pasanda

To Make the Gravy:

Heat oil in a pan. Put cumin seeds and bay leaves and let the cumin seeds crackle for a few seconds.

Step5 of Paneer Pasanda

Put ginger garlic paste and stir it until the raw smell is gone.

Mix tomato puree and cashew nut paste along with ¼ cup of water and Boil for a minute.

Step6 of Paneer Pasanda

Put brown onion paste in it and Fry for another minute.

Mix all seasoning (coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt) and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Step7 of Paneer Pasanda

Add water as required to thin the gravy.

Put dried fenugreek leaves, fresh cream, honey and lemon juice and cook for a minute.

Step8  of Paneer Pasanda

Transfer the gravy in the bowl. And Put paneer sandwich on Top.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with Nan, laccha Paratha, Butter Kulcha or Zeera Rice.
