Ingredients For Chole Bhature Recipe:

For Bhature:

1 Cup Dried Chickpeas

2 Cups All Purpose Flour

A Pinch of Baking Soda

1 Tablespoon Semolina

1 Tea Bags

2 Tablespoon Cooking Oil

2-3 Green Chilies

4 Tablespoon Yogurt

1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder

1 Teaspoon Sugar

1/4 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder

1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Salt as Per Taste, Water as required

1 Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder


2 Cups Water


Whole Spices:

Ground Paste Ingredients:

1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds

1 Medium Size Onion, Chopped

1 Large Bay Leaf

2 Medium Size Tomatoes, Chopped

2-3 Cloves

1/2 Inch Ginger, Chopped

2 Inch Cinnamon

3-4 Garlic, Chopped

2 Green Cardamoms

1 Green Chili, Chopped

2-3 Black Peppercorns


Direction For Chole Bhature:

How to make Dough of Bhature?

  • Take all purpose flour and semolina in a Bowl. Put sugar, salt, yogurt, baking soda and cooking oil and combine properly.
  • Add Water little by little and knead smooth and soft dough.

  • Cover with wet cloth and keep aside for about 3-4 hours or until increased it size.

How to make Bhature?

  • After 3-4 hour kneads it until smooth. Make equal parts of dough and give them a shape of small ball.
  • Heat oil in deep frying pan over medium flame. When oil is ready to fry, Put one in it and fry for 5-7 seconds.

  • When bottom side became light brown, then it gently and deep fry another side till light brown.

  • Take it out to a plate when it’s done.


How to Make Chole?

  • Firstly, Soak the Chickpeas in enough water for 7-8 hours.
  • Then Cook it with water, baking soda, tea bag and salt in a pressure cooker. After cook Chickpeas remove tea bags from it and keep aside.
  • Make paste of the onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and green chili in a blender. And Keep aside.

  • Put oil in a pan over medium flame. Fry all whole spices in oil. Then add ground paste in it. Stir and sauté until it’s cooked.
  • Add salt and garam masala powder. If needed add water in it. Stir it for 3-4 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and Serve with Bhature.
